• Running a printer cleaning card using the LCD panel is an alternative to using the “Clean Printer” button in the

Printer Toolbox. See "Cleaning the printer" on page 21 for details on printer cleaning.

1 With “Diagnostics” displayed on line 1, press the Up or Down Arrow key if needed

to display “Cleaning Card” on line 2.

2 See "Cleaning the printer" on page 21 to prepare the printer and the cleaning card.

3 Press the Enter key to start cleaning. The printer picks the cleaning card from the

input hopper and runs the cleaning cycle. The menu changes to “Printer Busy” as

the card is running.

4 The printer ejects the cards in the output hopper when the cleaning cycle is

complete.

5 The menu changes to Printer Ready when the cleaning cycle is done.
